Michael Davidson
(born as Michael Jay Davidson 1963 in New Jersey, USA) is a singer and
songwriter, who contributed to the Madonna movie "Who's That Girl" with the track
"Turn it up" in 1987 (produced by Stock
Aitken Waterman), which became a huge
dance
hit in the worldwide charts. Unlike the movie, the soundtrack
to "Who's That Girl" became an big international
success
spending many weeks in the Top Ten Album Chart in the United
States, Europe and Asia (number 1 in Germany!!!). Released on
July 21st, 1987 the album sold almost 5 million copies
worldwide, of which 1 million in the US (Platinum).
"Turn it up" was in the opinion of many
people, who bought this album (like me :), the best track on
it and it still rocks so much! It's almost unbelievable that
Michael only released 2 singles in his music career... but I don't
care. This is my music and this is the sound I love.. . We still
remember & love you, Mike. Be proud of you songs,
because there are still people, who listen to your music and
who whatch your videos. This website is my tribute to you.
