Whereas the main page concentrates on the legal aspects of "Shoplifting in Germany" only, this bibliography intends to give an overview of the relevant literature worldwide. Related areas not included would be security, policing or retailing in general.
This bibliography selectively includes only monographs, government reports and conference proceeedings, but excludes novels. Electronic resources, film and electronic media are also not listed. For articles from magazines – which make up most of the relevant published material – please refer to relevant contents bibliographies, like the Science Citation Index, Periodical Contents Index or IBZ; using these will usually require access to a subscribing academic library as they require fee paying subscriptions.

The inclusion of a title in this list does not constitute an endorsement of such title's content. Most books listed will be of the shoplifting-prevention type. Topics like EAS/RFID-technology are also included.

This list is divided into sections according to publication language. Within each language entries are sorted by the (main) author's/editor's surname or name of corporate body.

Each record should contain the following information (in this order): Author's surname, First name, Title (in italics), Place, Year, Publisher (in paranthesis), no. of pages, ISBN; additional information, annotations or comments, usually in [brackets]. Not all items contain all this information.
[s.l. = no place set; s.n. = without year; Anon. = anonymous or more then 3 authors; introductory roman paginations are omitted]
At the beginning of each language section keywords are given.

A .pdf version of this Bibliography is available for download [280k].
